Mommy's Day Is Coming...eek or you have it under control?

Mother's Day is a day where every mom or mum around the world is celebrated.

Sunday May 8 is that day and yes folks it's fast approaching.

You ask yourself are you a "last minuter" or "the planner." Hmm... you think to yourself "what am I going to get mom or mum this year?"

Well think no more people.  Stores like Kmart, Walmart, Walgreens, and more are cashing in on this holiday.  Just look at your television and many commercials are airing product after product to rope you into buying something for mom.

Whether you go to one of these stores or just diy it, it's the thought that counts. It's not really about the material things (although some would disagree).  It's about you recognizing that your mom or mum is that one true lady who birthed you and took care of you most of your life.  For some of you out there, mom is still taking care of you. She does everything from giving your grown tail a place to live, to giving your grown tail spending money, to paying a bill or two, to buying you food and in some cases she's being mom instead of {grandmom} to your kids.

This is just a reminder to make sure that you show love by telling your mom on this upcoming holiday how much you appreciate her and what she has done for you.  After all she brought you into this world. Right? Right!

Show her how important she is to you and how much you love her.

ATHLETICS OR ATHLEISURE: Everyone Is Doing It!

Beyonce's Ivy Park is a stunner. From her logo hoodies to her seamless capri leggings. She has truly outdone herself. In my opinion as a mom who works out her line seems to fit all shapes and body types alike. From the girl who wears shorts to jog in to the girl who wants to wear jogger pants. Beyonce has thought of everything. Here are some looks that you yourself can purchase from Norstrom to not only feel comfortable while working out but also to look great in.

My only issue and most moms who are on a budget would probably say the same thing is that the price point is a bit high.  Ivy Park's seamless leggings are going for $52 bucks...ouch! 

Other than the price point the look of the line is flawless and very wearable for the everyday mom:-)

I'm all over this brand ladies! It's also a true stunner! They have everything for the yoga mom as well as athleisure pieces for the true workout or workout chill mom. This amazing category they have called lounge-wear is great! I could wear these pants with a tank and be comfortable.

The colors are AMAZINGLY STUNNING! I love the fact that it's for comfort or running around in. Kind of a psychedelic effect going on. Nonetheless, it's fabulous!

We here at Stunningly Adorkable love to workout, play and have fun! Just because you're a mom or mum doesn't mean that you stop living or looking fabulously amazing:-) 

While some of these "athleisure" lines are a bit high, they all look fabulous. If you don't mind dropping more coins than you're use to then buy it up.  If you're on a budget like a lot of us are then, by a few pieces here and there or wait for a really great sale. You can always find something out there that looks and feel great to get your workout on in.  

(Side note: I wonder if any of these brands ever thought about creating a line and putting it in say...a "family dollar" or putting some in "walgreens." (just a thought)

Mornings by mom:-)

Mornings can be crazy, hectic, and exhausting. This mom is sometimes put through the ringer.

The way that can change my hectic morning is maxwell house coffee. I brew my own coffee to keep expenses down. Going to Starbucks (the coffee gods) can be a bit expensive. That's not saying that I don't visit when I can though. Their coffee is most delicious ever (I can smell the flavor right now).

I digress.

Back to my favorite home brew maxwell coffee (med).

It's my go-to home brew because my family has been drinking it since before I was born. I remember my mom making coffee at 5 am and sitting at the table having her morning coffee. She would then let me drink some. From that point on I was hooked.

Compared to the other brands like folgers and others,  maxwell house has the best taste hands up!

Every morning is started with my fave maxwell house (med).

Medium is best for me because it doesn't carry that burnt tastes like the Columbian flavor does. When coffee is dark it's burnt. You can't get much taste out of the coffee bean when it's burnt. When it's medium it has an even taste. A taste that's richer and nuttier. You can actually taste the coffee and nothing else.

It's really good!

So when you're looking to home brew go with my go-to, "maxwell." Make sure it's medium.

Brew your coffee, and sit and have some mommy coffee time.

I'm so excited to announce that I was chosen as a mom's meet ambassador!

Being a mom of 4 great kids I strive to make sure they are as healthy as possible. As a working mom I strive to make sure they are well cared for.

Healthy eating, a healthy environment and being around positive individuals makes a big difference. Now that I am a fabulous mom's meet ambassador I can't wait to try new products that will potentially become a part of our lifestyle.

BACK TO SCHOOL!

It's that time again...back to school time that is!

Parents are on the move and getting their kids prepared for school.  So much is available to help our kids do well in school this coming year.

Please take the time and look at your child's school supply list. Purchase everything on the list so that your child is prepared.  If you cannot afford to purchase your child's school supplies, then their are always community drives to help you get your child prepared for school.

As always stay involved in your child's education so that you stay in the know.

SO DARN ADORKABLY FUNNY AND WITTY!

This book is such a great read for kids!

Steve Martin's take on the classic alphabet storytelling goes beyond the normal rhyming and simple sentences.  While a little complicated, he takes it to the next level by adding words that kids wouldn't ordinarily use and by using drawings that are sort of grown-up, but in a way that kids can relate to.

It's on our list as one of the best summer reads for kids!
