Mornings By Mom: Workout, Eats And Deets!

Hi All;

This morning was one hectic morning.  From getting up and trying to get my yoga/meditation
in this morning to my mind going crazy about my work week.  Let me just say it's going to be a long work week.  Luckily I have developed some great ways to help me to cope and to not get so stressed. Stress is the leading cause of other illness that can hurt your body.

Here are the ways that I cope so that I that I don't get stressed throughout the week:

1. Taking care of myself! This one is a given. It's making sure you keep up the basics for yourself.
Making sure that you eat a healthy breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Getting enough water is EXTREMELY important. Most of you know the basics of heath and what we all have to do. Not eating properly leads to over eating and weight gain. Trust me...you don't want that.

2. For all of my girly moms there's other ways to limit stress during the week. For example, if you're use to going to the spa and getting that much needed facial, then the best thing to do is to give yourself that much needed "mini facial", or a "pedi" or "mani."
Doing those things helps you to keep yourself looking fabulous, feeling fabulous and keeps the momentum going through the week.

3. Exercise, exercise, exercise! I can't stressed that enough. Moms, please get in your daily exercise. Whether it's yoga, cardio or a class at the gym or whether you have the ability to do it at home; however you must do it is VERY important for your body, mind and your inner peace.

4. Get plenty of sleep. I know this is easier said than done.
According to the National Institutes of Health, the average adult sleeps less than seven hours per night. In today's fast-paced society, six or seven hours of sleep may sound pretty good. In reality, though, it's a recipe for chronic sleep deprivation.
You can read more right here .

5. Take a break! If your stress is caused by those weekly nuances, then taking a break is crucial for you. It not only helps you to breath but it helps you to relax and unscramble all of what happened 5 mins prior. You can do a 5 min de-stresser if you really need to. You can do so by following these steps right here:

Lastly; take the time to enjoy life's moments. Each day that we wake up it's a moment in time. We live our lives by "moments." Those moments turn into memories. Don't let stinky stress stop you from living an abundant life that you're meant to live. Remember, life is meant to be lived in a great way!

Always think positive no matter what😄

New Discoveries That's Trending!

In an age where everything and I mean everything is trending, we are bombarded with EVERYTHING! So much that we don't truly look at the products or read about them until some cutesy celeb mom is trending on social media with the next big thing. That seems to be when the world takes notice of those gems that have been there all along.

I found some awesome products that came out of the (ABC Kids's Expo) that's held in Vegas each year.  It's the largest juvenile and kids show that showcases the latest gadgets and baby products that parents can buy.

Here's what I found that we're loving right now:

Sago Mini Tuck Me In Quilt ($100). It was created by the dad behind the Sago Mini Apps For Kids. The quilt is designed with pockets kids can use to tuck in their favorite stuffed animals at night (sooooo cute).

Project Nursery Parent + Baby Smart Band. It's a band that tracks your entire pregnancy; from fetal movements to everything else! Once the little arrives you can record diaper changes, nap times and feedings directory into the device or it's corresponding app. It also records moms steps and much more. It came out this month and is only ($150).

Graco Forever Extend2Fit. Designed for rear-facing kids 4 to 50 lbs and forward-facing kinds 22 to 50 lbs. This seat combines two of their popular seats the 4Ever and Xtend2Fit. When used as a no-seat backer it's designed for kids up to 120 lbs. It retails for ($350). Which means for all you new parents out there, it could be a great investment for you in the long run.

Skip Hop Baby's View 3-stage Activity Center. This amazing activity center was designed with the help of a pediatrician and is the only one on the market with a discovery window. It allows babies to watch their own fancy footwork. Plus all of the toys clip on and are movable. I love this!!

SiliKids Siliskin Plate and Bowl. Coming in spring 2017 it's silicone, so it won't collapse when you grab it. The plate acts as a lid. And...it's microwavable despite the embedded stainless steel ring. We're soooo loving this!

Dock-a-Tot Cloud Tot. One of the most buzzed about products at the show. This smart mattress slips into the base of the dock-a-tot and provides parents with information about their sleeping babies via blue-toothed enabled app. If your baby hasn't moved in 12 seconds the mattress gives the baby a jiggle to startle it. It also detects moisture when your baby is wet and plays soothing noise to help your little one fall asleep and stay asleep (not sure about that one). All in all this seems like a winner!

These are only a few of my favorites that came out of the show as top winners. However, there were many more to see. To see all of the products that was featured at the show visit (www.theabcshow.com).
Plus get the inside scoop on upcoming shows as well as information on vendors.

Parent's with so many products out on the market sometimes it's hard to know which products are best or worst. We say, do your research and buy what's best for you and your family. You don't always have to buy what's trending these days but you can buy what "you" like. Remember to use your "mom" instinct and choose wisely.

Until next time...

Mornings By Mom: More Time Please

Hi All;

I know this post is super late.  The morning has already past but I had to post to see if other moms could relate and how you handle your time.

Have you ever tried and tried to grab more time throughout the day but it seems like the day runs it's course and then "POOF" it's time for bed?

Well; I have and it's very annoying. It's annoying because, you do all of the right things to figure out your day and then something infiltrates and then it's a disaster! Yeah I know it happens to all of us but when you stop to think about it, it's like you ask yourself, "why does it happen?"

So I started my own regime while implementing small things from other people like twitter's "Jack Dorsey." His days are so planned to the wire that it's sickening (not in a bad way). But I thought to myself...I can do that. I can fit most things in on my to do list and be satisfied.  Which is easier said than done.

Here's Jack Dorsey's morning routine:

Image result for jack dorsey

Monday-Friday:
-up at 5 am
-mediate 30 mins
-7 min workout x 3 (whoa)
-gets coffee
-checks in
-to bed 11 pm

Mornings By Mom's routine:
-up at 5 am
-drink a water (1 glass)
-meditate 20 mins (total silence)
-yoga (10 min stretch)
-get coffee (2 cups)
-breakfast (hard boiled egg w/fruit)
-head to office (8 am)
-to bed by 11:30 or sometimes 12

Moms I have to tell you in doing this I was so tired. However it did perk me up and enabled me to focus a lot more. In the end in doing this, it helped me to be more productive in my own routine (with a few tweaks here and there).

I believe for anyone to be more productive in what they are striving to do, they must be serious and focused. Having a morning routine definitely helps because it keeps everything organized so that you can be your best self. More than anything, you want to make sure that you're CLEAR-HEADED and FOCUSED at those most critical moments during the day.

Don't be afraid to create your own morning routine to keep you focused and your day organized.
